Billy The Kid by K Henderson

Billy the Kid, 20 x 24, oil on canvas

Billy the Kid was one of the most famous outlaws of the American West. According to legend, he killed 21 men, but it is generally believed that he killed between four and nine. He was catapulted into legend in 1881 when New Mexico’s governor, Lew Wallace, placed a price on his head.

Golden Eagle by K Henderson

Golden Eagle by K Henderson

Golden Eagle is 40″ x 30″, oil on linen

This painting is a continuation of my ‘Top Hat” series. In the 1880’s The Powers That Be in the United States Government would invite American Indian leaders to Washington. There they were given gifts such as clothing, flags, hats etc. The recipient would then use these items as they saw fit. This hat is decorated with parts of a flag, an emblem from a helmet, ribbons and feathers

Red pot and PeppersS by K Henderson
Red Pot and Peppers, 30 x 30, oil on canvas

It’s been a while since I’ve created one of my ‘Pot’ still lifes. I’ve always enjoyed painting them so I felt it was time for a new one.

This painting has 3 pots, red peppers and a photo of an American Indian woman.
